Contribute bigger I think-03

Contributing is our way of showing our investment in our relationship with Jesus and with his Church.

It’s our way of giving back to the loving Father who has given us so much. It’s really an act of worship, because it acknowledges Him as the giver of everything we have, it reflects our trust in Him continuing to provide for us, and it allows us to be part of His work here on earth. Check out our 2014 Recap Video to see how God is working in and through Genesis Church and using the generosity of His people to do His work!

Online Giving-05

Giving online is fast, secure, and easy!

The Bible says to give from the first fruits of our labor, meaning that we give our offerings to God before we spend money on anything else! Setting up a recurring gift online is a great way to make your giving a priority. If you’re not comfortable with online giving we do collect cash and checks as we take an offering during Sunday services, and you can also mail in contributions as well.

What Am I Giving To 2-05

You’re giving to the work of the local church!

Genesis operations and ministries are funded fully by the giving of our people, so when you contribute finances to Genesis you contribute to every way that people see and find God’s love through this church. People are finding acceptance, healing, and ultimately eternal life!

There are three specific funds you can give to at Genesis:

The Bible teaches us that our baseline standard for giving is a tithe, which means “tenth”, and God tells us to  “Honor God with everything you own: give him the first and the best” (Proverbs 3:9 MSG), so we believe that the first ten percent of our income should be given back to God. Generosity is an outward expression of the condition of our hearts! The tithe is what funds the local church, and our willingness to be generous reflects our trust in God–it’s our acknowledgment that all things come from Him and belong to Him.

When God stirs us to give beyond our tithe, it’s referred to as an offering. You can direct offering to the cause that resonates with you.

Our goal is to make a large impact through key partnerships with ministry organizations. We strive to live out our mission of helping people find their way back to God by reaching outside the walls of our church. We do this by investing in and uplifting 3 key ministry partners globally, regionally and locally.

We are called to help people find their way back to God, which means making sure there is a seat for everyone that walks through our doors. A seat for everyone might mean adding new services, expanding or maximizing current facilities and planning for multi-site venues and church plants!

We believe that our mission is not just for the people who walk in our doors!

Genesis has formed intentional partnerships with organizations locally, regionally and globally in order to carry out Jesus’s Command in Acts 1:8, “..and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria and to the ends of the earth.”

The places he referenced in this verse symbolize a local mission, a regional mission, and a global mission, so we’ve chosen to use that as our model for how we structure and prioritize outreach at Genesis!

Here’s a look at our key partners in outreach.

Local Partners Phipps-01

We are proud to partner with Food4Souls, an Indianapolis-based group that works to meet both the immediate and long-term needs of Indy’s homeless population. We’ve learned that we’re not supplying things for nameless, faceless “homeless people”–we’re providing for people with real names and real stories. So during the Christmas season we do a church-wide drive called “Love Your Neighbor”  where we collect needed supplies for these brothers and sisters of ours. We got to accompany Food4Souls on a distribution trip, and you can watch that powerful story here.

Would you like to sign-up for the Food 4 Souls team and get notified of serving opportunities?  If so, you can sign-up HERE.

Shepherd Community Center

For many children in the area, the only good meals they get are when they’re at school. So what do they eat during spring break? Thought you’d never ask! The truth is that many children go without much or any food at all during Spring Break. Each year we partner with Shepherd Community Center to provide 200 bags packed with 10 meals each to be distributed to these children so that they can continue to have food during their spring break!

Young Life

We are currently partnering with Noblesville and Westfield Young Life to reach the kids in our communities! Young Life has a number of amazing ministries reaching the students in our middle schools and high schools. We love being able to bridge the gap between school and church, by working with Young Life and providing a welcoming church family.
