We are proud to partner with Food4Souls, an Indianapolis-based group that works to meet both the immediate and long-term needs of Indy’s homeless population. We’ve learned that we’re not supplying things for nameless, faceless “homeless people”–we’re providing for people with real names and real stories. So during the Christmas season we do a church-wide drive called “Love Your Neighbor” where we collect needed supplies for these brothers and sisters of ours. We got to accompany Food4Souls on a distribution trip, and you can watch that powerful story here.
For many children in the area, the only good meals they get are when they’re at school. So what do they eat during spring break? Thought you’d never ask! The truth is that many children go without much or any food at all during Spring Break. Each year we partner with Shepherd Community Center to provide 200 bags packed with 10 meals each to be distributed to these children so that they can continue to have food during their spring break!
We are currently partnering with Noblesville and Westfield Young Life to reach the kids in our communities! Young Life has a number of amazing ministries reaching the students in our middle schools and high schools. We love being able to bridge the gap between school and church, by working with Young Life and providing a welcoming church family.
